Travel itinerary for the 5 Days Gorilla & Wildlife Tour with Grime Safaris Uganda.
Traveling from Entebbe/Kampala takes about 11-12 hours drive by car depending on road conditions and car speed.
Expect a great hectic trip and yet fun filled with changing land terrain views especially the hilly areas and curved roads in the Kigezi region of south western Uganda.
On the way, we shall have lunch and proceed with our journey to Bwindi Forest Park
We shall check in at the Hotel on reaching Bwindi Forest National Park area.
Grime Safaris Tour Guide and Driver will come and pick you up from the hotel after your wonderful breakfast or you may choose to pack and eat it while in the forest.
Grime Safaris Tour Guide will take you to the Visitor's Information Center where all Gorilla Trackers are briefed before the experience of a lifetime.
The Briefing done by UWA - Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers/staffs is to give you a little hint on what to expect during Mountain Gorilla Tracking with Grime Safaris.
After the briefing at 6:30 am, we shall then drive into Bwindi Forest and starting tracking for Mountain Gorilla deep in the impenetrable rainforest - Bwindi that survived the ice age million years ago.
Mountain Gorilla Tracking takes about 2-4 Hours or even full day depending on how lucky you are but chances are high up to 85% that you will encounter the Mountain Gorilla at the Bwindi Forest National Park.
Only 8 visitors are allowed to encounter a Mt Gorilla family in a day and only 1 hour is acceptable for them to spend with the Mountain Gorillas.
We shall then return to our hotel for Lunch at 12:00 pm or 1:00 pm
In the afternoon depending on your mood and ability, we may opt to go for Forest walks deep into the Bwindi Forest.
Bwindi Forest walks recommended by our expert tour guides offers tourists an opportunity to visit the triple fall in the forest with fresh clean natural waters, Monkey viewing moments, bird watching e.t.c.
Return to the hotel room by 5:00pm
You will then be taken up by Safari Guide and Driver Guide for another journey to one of the most beautiful tour destination in Uganda - Queen Elizabeth National Park
The Journey takes approximately 5-6 Hours to travel from Bwindi Forest to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Queen Elizabeth National Park is famous for its Ishasha sector Tree Climbing Lions, the crator lakes, Kyambura George that host the Chimps and Birds species a perfect choice for Bird lovers and chimpanzee lovers.
After the quick journey, Grime Safaris Guide will help you check in at the hotel at Queen Elizabeth National Park.
We shall then have lunch at 12:20 pm or 1:00pm
We shall later on proceed to the boat side for Boat Ride on Kazinga channel to have a captivating wildlife views over the waters.
Animals that can be viewed on Queen Elizabeth National Park Boat Cruise include; African Elephants, Birds, Crocodiles, Hippos, e.t.c
Queen Elizabeth National Park has tree climbing lions at Ishasha Wilderness Sector
Kyambura Geroge on the Albertine rift (East African Rift Valley) offer great scenic viewpoint, Bird habitat, Chimpanzee home, this therefore offers the most interesting safari experience for Bird lovers, Chimpanzee lovers and Butterfly watchers.
